Which traces of colonial and Nazi history and crimes can be found in the exhibitions of today's Humboldt Forum and in the collections of the Ethnological Museum? How can (hidden) intertwined discourses and negotiation processes of social memory be addressed in the Humboldt Forum and transformed into spaces of solidarity in which people affected by anti-Semitism and racism are not pitted against each other, but talk together about traumas and hopes for the future?

In the collaborative project ‘Intertwined Memory(s)?’, experts from German civil society, international partners, employees of the Ethnological Museum Berlin and the Humboldt Forum Foundation in the Berlin Palace reflect on ways of dealing with memories of the Shoah and the crimes of colonialism from multiple perspectives and, building on this, developing educational formats for young people and adults. World e.V. is involved in the content of the cooperation project and hosted a multi-day residency for the participants in Rosow/Neustettlin in July 2024.

Welche Spuren kolonialer und nationalsozialistischer Geschichten und Verbrechen finden sich in den Ausstellungen des heutigen Humboldt Forums und in den Sammlungen des Ethnologischen Museums? Wie lassen sich im Humboldt Forum (verdeckt) präsente verflochtene Diskurse und Aushandlungsprozesse gesellschaftlichen Erinnerns aufgreifen und in solidarische Räume überführen, in denen von Antisemitismus und Rassismus betroffene Menschen nicht gegeneinander ausgespielt werden, sondern gemeinsam über Traumata und Zukunftshoffnungen sprechen?

Im kollaborativen Projekt „Verflochtene Erinnerung(en)?“ reflektieren Expert*innen der deutschen Zivilgesellschaft, internationale Partner*innen, Mitarbeiter*innen des Ethnologischen Museums Berlin und der Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss Möglichkeiten, sich multiperspektivisch mit Erinnerungen an die Shoah und an Verbrechen des Kolonialismus auseinanderzusetzen und daran anknüpfend Bildungsformate für Jugendliche und Erwachsene zu entwickeln. Der World e.V. ist an dem Kooperationsprojekt inhaltlich beteiligt und beherbergte im Juli 2024 eine mehrtägige Residenz der Beteiligten in Rosow/Neustettlin.
